My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Montaro (formerly Declan, saved from euthanasia) is now ready for adoption! He was renamed Montaro, which means gentle giant, because he is a couch potato who wants nothing more than to cuddle and be loved. Here is what we have learned about this big, beautiful boy since being in foster.

🐾 At around 2yrs old and 88lbs, he thinks he's a lap dog. Montaro is a beefcake; big beautiful head, stocky and slightly bowed front legs. He looks smaller in pictures.

🐾 Montaro walks well on a leash and loves walks.

🐾 He come a long way in taking treats gently and not jumping when he's happy to see you.

🐾 He is crate trained and can roam without being destructive. He does love to take a slipper or shoe occasionally, but does not destroy it.

🐾 Montaro is potty trained and hasn't had an accident or marked in the house in the last four weeks he has been in foster.

🐾 With slow and proper introductions, he has done well with other calm dogs. He is such a lover though, that we believe he would be happiest as the only pet.
