Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Freckles is a sweetheart. She might not show it at the shelter or during adoption events, but trust me, she's a forever girl once you see her at home! She loves to tear into stuffed animals but is a total champ about not chewing up pillows, shoes, or anything else. Indoors, she's well-behaved, housebroken, and goes into her crate easily. She walks great with her prong collar and really gets into tug of war with her rope or catching tennis balls. Oh, and she's a popcorn-catching pro!

Freckles goes nuts for peanut butter, popcorn, and pumpkin-the three P's-but she also adores duck jerky. She's not a fan of storms or loud noises like thunder or fireworks; she prefers hanging out in the walk-in closet during those times. She's a bit cautious around new people at first, thinking she needs to protect, but once she feels safe, she's all cuddles on the couch, laying her head on your chest while you pet her.

Partners for Pets is a 501c3 non-profit animal rescue located in Troy, IL. Since our opening in 2003, Partners for Pets has rescued and re-homed over 21,000 cats and dogs, who would have otherwise been euthanized in local area animal control facilities. Partners for Pets works diligently to help local area animal control facilities reach no-kill status by opening our doors to the neglected, sick, weak, and injured. No matter their chances of survival, we do everything in our power to give these animals a second chance at life-a life that is full of the love, care, and compassion that they were lacking before.
