My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Elica, the little bully girl with a giant smile! Elica is not your average small bully breed dog. This charismatic, little lady is a tiny bundle of joy and a true “life of the party”. Her story is one of resilience and the power of what rescue truly does for these pups. She is around a year old and 30 lbs.

Elica came to our rescue after she found herself at the local shelter suffering a horrific injury, causing a complete degloving of her bottom jaw. We immediately jumped into action and Elica’s journey of recovery began. Even with as much pain as she was in with the injury, this girl has always had a smile and happy demeanor.

For a social butterfly like Elica, recovery was tough because she just wanted to play and have fun with all her foster siblings. After one minor set back, this girl healed beautifully and adores all of her foster siblings, of all sizes. She is a tiny bundle of joy at a short and stout 30 pounds. She loves her food, she loves her friends, and sometimes she loves rules; but most times she just wants to run and play and never miss anything exciting that may be happening. She does do best when eating separate from her doggy friends. She is a fast eater and currently her foster mom scatters her food to slow her down but she may also do well with a slow feeder too.

Elica is potty trained and kennel trained, but may take a minute to adjust to a new environment. She is a chewer, so she needs bones and toys to occupy her. Elica was actually adopted and recently returned at no fault of her own. She lived with a pitty sister and it just wasn’t a match for the family, so now she’s back on the market looking for the perfect family. So, while she’s had a lot of change in the last six months, this girl has taken it all in stride. Her small stature and non-stop wiggle butt will win anyone over in exactly 2.5 seconds. She loves to snuggle up with you on the couch and gives the best kisses.

If you think she may be a good fit for your family, you can send inquiries to our director of adoptions at muttmisfitsadoptions@yahoo.com or apply to meet / adopt at www.muttmisfits.org/adoption-application!

Elica is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and preventatives, heart-worm negative, and micro-chipped.
