Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sweetest sight impaired senior dog lost his family. Kyro has stolen the hearts of all of us at the shelter after he was surrendered by his family. His canine sibling has long since been adopted while Kyro keeps being passed up for many months now for his age and sight impairment.
What makes Kyro so special… Kyro is so affectionate and gives great kisses!
* The way he exudes joy when he hears the sound of your voice will absolutely melt your heart
* He loves to have a human friend sit with him for meal servings - especially when you shower him with kind words
* Kyro always welcomes you to his space and enjoys curling up in his bed for some good pets
* So easy to walk! Really likes the fresh air and time in the sun
* Kyro is the best ‘go with the flow’ pal! Loves to tag along for any adventure and sneak in some cuddles
* Exceptional house guest! A volunteer took him home for a few hours for a break & said he did wonderful there
* Incredibly endearing how trusting and smart he is. Kyro will follow you anywhere and takes cues well like “step” if you are approaching one to give him a heads up to be careful.
* Generally likes other dogs
* Perfect size at 60 pounds
* Age 12
Kyro is a 12 year old neutered male lab/pit mix. He has mature cataracts in both eyes, a couple of lipomas, and arthritis. He currently takes dasuquin joint supplements and gabapentin to treat his arthritis. A senior blood panel was performed and was overall normal. He did have some protein in his urine. It was determined that he does not yet have kidney disease, but it was recommended by the vet that he be started on a senior diet with a lower protein content to help his kidney function. He was treated for a bladder infection and has been cleared.
Kyro was surrendered to us with a five month old chihuahua puppy that he lived with. He has done meet and greets with other dogs and has done very well as long as the dogs aren't in his face and jumping all over him. He is incredibly sweet and we are searching for a nice cozy place for him to live out his life.
