Meet Buddy!
Buddy was surrendered to Out of the Woods Rescue after he developed a life threatening urinary blockage. Buddy was unblocked at an emergency hospital, and then underwent a perineal urethrostomy (sometimes referred to as a PU surgery) - a surgical procedure that removes the narrowest part of the urethra (the tube that transports the urine from the bladder to the exterior of the body), allowing easier urination along with a lower risk of re-obstruction.
Buddy has made a FULL RECOVERY and is eating his urinary prescription diet very well!
Buddy is now available for adoption! Buddy is a handsome long-haired fellow. He has never lived with other cats, so a home with other cats should be prepared for a slow introduction to reduce stress.
