Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Flora, our 18 pound, 12 year old Cairn terrier, came to us from a local rescue after losing her home of over 10 years. She'd hadn't had any dental care in that time, and really needed some help with her teeth. Flora is now recovered from her dental surgery (she had to lose many infected teeth) and is ready for her forever home.
Flora really loves people, but like most of us, can be initially a little anxious. It doesn't take long until she's curled up in a lap, though, and she's comfortable with the kids that she's met. She's good with dogs and is friendly and not reactive. Flora is an easy keeper; she is crate trained but is not destructive and is quiet when left out. She, like most terriers, loves toys and fetch. And she excels at chasing squirrels. We have not seen Flora with cats, but we can do an introduction if needed.
Heartworm negative and current on her flea and heartworm preventatives, Flora has also had normal senior blood work.
It's always sad when a senior dog has to lose their home. But, we love nothing more than seeing a senior dog happy in their forever retirement homes. Do you have a place for Flora? Apply to adopt at www.stumptownstrays.org
