Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
So we have a confession to make... Tesla is an addict. She is a Belly Rub Addict. She will run at you full speed, flop onto her side, and slide under your hand to get the coveted pets... we have tried Belly Rubs Anonymous to no avail. We now know that it is best to just give into her addiction and pet away! Tesla could not have been named better if we had tried! This energizer bunny likes to go go, GO! Tesla loves to GO - anywhere, anytime. She plays. Toys, attention and pets are her love language. She can be overwhelming - especially to new, unprepared dog parents. She will be destructive and vocal if bored or overstimulated. But she loves to talk, has loads of energy, and absolutely loves other doggies (although she can be overwhelming to smaller dogs). Once she has settled down, she loves cuddles and belly rubs, too. Just look at those eyes, begging you to take her home!
Tesla will play fetch for DAYS. She loves to be with her people. She does well with tolerant male dogs when off lead. When on a leash, she gets frustrated and more vocal.
Tesla would LOVE a runner, long distance hiker, someone who can't sit still and doesn't want to. Once her energy is expended, she wants nothing more than to snuggle on the couch with her favorite people.
pUpdate: Day 2 of our 12 Dogs of Christmas Series... Meet Tesla - a long term foster who wants nothing more than a home and humans to call her own. Tesla has been with Boxers and Buddies for 2 years and 7 months...that's 959 days she has been with our rescue. Tesla is a 5 1/2 year old female Husky Malanois mix. She is a high energy dog who can come across as overwhelming, especially to new, unprepared humans. She loves to play fetch non-stop, loves to run, and is very vocal, however, once she knows she is loved, safe, and comfortable, she will become a cuddle bug and will make sure you never stop giving her belly rubs! Tesla is looking for a human who is possibly a runner, long distance hiker, someone who is always on the go, or someone who can't sit idle. Once Tesla's energy is expended, she wants nothing more than to snuggle on the couch with her favorite people. If you are the type of person who can give Tesla the life she deserves, please fill out an application at boxersandbuddies.comWe require professional obedience training from a certified trainer for ALL adoptions. If you are interested in meet or adoption me, please fill out an adoption application at www.boxersandbuddies.com

Boxers and Buddies Boxer Rescue is a nonprofit organization founded in 2005. Our parent organization (the well-known Boxer Rescue Los Angeles (Boxer Rescue Fund Inc.), was founded in 1977 out of love and fierce determination by Ursula Sauthier.
Today, Boxers and Buddies provides a safe, humane sanctuary for abandoned Boxers and others who are waiting to be adopted.
Boxers and Buddies is funded solely by private donation. Our entire organization is run by a dedicated team of volunteers. Our group works for the love of the breed and to see dogs find homes.
Our available dogs come from local shelters, from the streets or from owners who turn them in. We are always filled to capacity with scared, confused and very stressed out dogs. They are with us because Boxers and Buddies is their last hope of finding a new life. We are their temporary haven until they are adopted into a loving permanent home.
Before they can be adopted, each dog is evaluated for temperament, must be sterilized, microchipped and their shots are updated. Boxers and Buddies has a training program for those dogs who need rehabilitation or have behaviors which need to be modified.
Boxers and Buddies and Boxer Rescue LA stand apart from other rescues by rescuing any Boxer, regardless of age or health. We feel that they are all worthy of a real chance at life. This policy means that we are subject to frequent and expensive veterinarian costs. Medical expenses are only one of the major cost Boxers and Buddies has to pay each year. The cost are endless: food, shelter fees, medical bills and the costs go on and on. Saving lives is not cheap but someone has to do it!
We are constantly seeking funds and support. We need your help.
We depend on our donors and our volunteers to keep B&B open to any Boxer in need. We appreciate your compassion by including a rescue Boxer into your life. Please spread the word and continue to support our efforts.
