Aggie is looking for a super special forever home for her super special self!
Her perfect home would include:
-Slow, leisurely strolls (no long distance hikes here!)
-Her being your only dog, and preferably no cats
-Comfy bed
-Older kids would be okay
-Lots of love and patience
And one more thing, finding someone who has no issue loving a BLIND dog!! She has adjusted very well to being blind and doesn't let it slow her down.
Being blind does come with some differences compared to owning a fully sighted dog:
-lots of noise can overwhelm her
-she doesn't enjoy dog on dog interactions so these need to be avoided (meaning, she doesn't want to go to a bunch of dog-friendly places and socialize)
-you have to talk alot to her and make silly noises so she knows where you are
-she needs a consistent daily routine, preferably with a family who is home most of the time.
Aggie has also had two surgeries this past year to help with breathing issues. She has recovered from them but has some additional requirements because of them:
-limited activity on hot or humid days
-needs elevated food and water bowls
-no swimming
-does better with some wet food mixed with her dry kibble for meals and softer treats
If you believe that you could be her perfect match, please fill out an application and meet the bestest blind dog around! Fill out your application today!

Canine Cupids' mission is to protect and improve the lives of homeless, neglected, and exceptional needs dogs and to place them in permanent, loving homes.
Canine Cupids is a Certified 501c3 Organization
DATCPLicense: 288601-DS
Canine Cupids work with animals, within our community and throughout our organization is guided by three core values: compassion, integrity and dedication.
Because every animal deserves to be loved, we feel it is our moral responsibility to protect and improve the lives of abused, abandoned, and homeless dogs, and to place them in loving permanent homes.
We strive to work with animal control agencies as well as other rescues and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless pets within our community.
At Canine Cupids our founding principle is that "ALL dogs are individuals and deserve to be regarded as such". This mindset is core to the belief system at The Animal Farm Foundation. It assists in securing equal treatment and opportunity for "pit bull" dogs - as well as all dogs, regardless of size, color, etc.
"We owe it to all dogs to see them for who they really are, free of prejudice, stereotypes, and assumptions that are based on a known pedigree, a breed label guess, physical appearance, or their past history."*
"Breed related traits are not guaranteed. If a dog does conform to breed traits that does not mean a dog isn't an individual! Breed characteristics may contribute to a dog?s individuality, but they are not the whole story." *
Don't judge a book by its cover and don't judge a pooch by its stereotype!
