Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Snoopy's Backstory:
Snoopy's story is heartbreaking, yet hopeful. Some good Samaritan neighbors of a mentally ill elderly man knew that he had a dog. He was not able to take care of himself, and they were concerned that he was not able to take care of his dog either. He agreed to let them have Snoopy so he could be taken care of, and that is when we were contacted. He was completely covered in mats and filth. He was underweight. He had lived most of his life in a crate, and having space around him was unsettling and frightening. Not anymore! We are giving this dear, dear boy the second chance that he deserves.
Breed and Hair Notes:
Snoopy has hair that grows and not fur. He is a stunning Shih Tzu, darling as darling can be. He was just given haircut. PLEASE NOTE: his hair will grow indefinitely, and he will need professional grooming every 4-6 weeks. Only apply if you understand the additional maintenance and cost that these dear hair-not-fur souls need and are willing to commit to life for such care.
Get to Know Snoopy:
Because of his past, Snoopy needs an adopter that is willing to give him space and time to get settled into this new life he's been given. He is doing well in his foster home, and he is now seeking attention from them after weeks of rest after his surgeries. Due to the extreme neglect in his past, he had to have an eye removed from untreated dry eye. His sight is minimal out of his other eye, and navigates well through sound and smell.
If Snoopy needs to eat or needs something from you, he will let you know with his cute bark. He loves to go outside, and he even walks on a leash! Right now, expect Snoopy to need more rest after his eye surgery earlier this autumn. He was also just neutered and received a compete dental cleaning and some tooth extractions. He's all up to date on his vaccines. His bloodwork is good. He's ready to go!
Ideal Home:
Snoopy needs an experienced dog parent who has the empathy to understand what trauma he endured in his past. He is so darling and sweet. He so wants to connect with his people. You will just need to give him time in order for this to happen.
He currently lives with other dogs and cats and lives peacefully with all of them. He tends to hang out by himself and is mostly interested in coming to find his foster parents to get attention.
Because of his gentleness, he would be okay around children who were taught how to respect and touch a dog under supervision. Loving teenagers would be ideal.
We look forward to finding this gentleman the ideal family who is deserving of his gentleness. He's ready for his new life! Will it be with you?
