*Courtesy Post* Currently in North Park. Gemma was abandoned and picked up. She is spayed. We believe she is about 1.5-year-old. She is good with dogs and people. I have not seen her around cats or kids but she is such a calm, sweet girl that I don’t predict any problems. She will eat anything in front of her and loves to chew on toys and lounge on laps. If we are adopting out a dog who has been trained the adopter must agree to one training session the day they adopt the dog (coming home). If we decide additional training sessions will be needed we will advise the adopter prior to adoption.

More about this rescue

We are a veteran-run dog rescue based in San Diego, California. Our goal is to change the rescue world. We adopt our dogs to any loving and qualified homes, but we also provide ESAs for military veterans. With The Heroic Tail’s model, we are not only able to rescue dogs from high-kill shelters who happen to be at the wrong place at the wrong time, but we are also able to help the dogs deemed “unadoptable” and give them a better chance at a happy and healthy life!
