Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Charlie is Adopted
Charlie is currently fostered in Canton Ohio, and his adoption fee is $300
Charlie is a beautiful 4 yr old male cocker spaniel with a gorgeous RED Coloring!!!
He came to us from a breeder situation, where he was kept with many other dogs.
He is a super sweet boy, he is loveable, but timid, and needs time to adjust to new people and environments.
He is not your typical "Happy go Lucky" cocker, due to his fears and timidness, however his foster has worked with him a lot over the past few months, and we feel he is ready for adoption to the right person/home.
Here is what we are looking for in a "Placement" for this boy.....
Charlie will need an adopter familiar with his needs, he needs patience, understanding and commitment to help him adjust to his new home and family.
He must have at least one other dog in the home, as he is very much a "follower" and needs a dog to learn from and make him feel comfortable, he really loves other dogs.
This boy has come a long way, he does have some submissive type urination, mostly when eager to go outside.
Sometimes he "lets go when crossing the threshold to the outdoors, however his foster has this under control with a structured routine.
Charlie is crate trained, and does very well in his crate at the foster home, he actually prefers having his little "Place" to go to when he feels nervous or afraid.
This boy is such a sweet dog, he just needs an adopter that is a "good fit" for him. in the right home, he will be a wonderful companion and fur friend for some lucky person!!
Please NOTE that any dog needs a minimum of 3 weeks to a month to adjust.
If you aren't willing to commit to this timeframe for Charlie, then you are not a good fit for him.
In many cases it can take months, so please be aware of the needed time he will need in a new environment.
Charlie is neutered and up to date on vaccines and heartworm test.
If you would like to adopt Charlie or would like more information on him, please fill out an adoption application
We do not have a shelter, all rescues are in foster homes - Dogs are not shown without first being approved to adopt.
