Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Mick is guessed to be about 10 years old and weighs 6.2 lbs. He came to us from Texas where his owner surrendered him and his "brother" Mouse to a shelter because they "didn't want them anymore". :( Mick and Mouse get along well, but are not bonded, so they are able to be adopted separately.
Mick sustained a back injury at some point prior to his arrival to us, which has caused reduced mobility in his rear end. He is able to walk around, but cannot do stairs, jump, or really put any weight solely on his rear legs. He does have full bladder and bowel control, but due to his mobility it is often difficult to tell when he has to potty/when he is pottying, so we think in the beginning it is advisable to use belly bands until his new parent can pick up on his signs and get him on their schedule.
Mick gets along with other dogs, but should be separated when feeding because he can get possessive about food. He is pretty quiet and does well in a crate. He cannot walk for long distances, but would probably love to go on stroller rides!
Mick's adoption donation of $300 helps cover the cost of his medical care. Mick is neutered, had a dental cleaning, is current on core vaccinations, is negative for heartworm, tick diseases, and fecal parasites.
Application, reference checks, and home visit required. Adopters must live 1.5 hours driving distance from Romeoville, IL. For more information on adopting, please email us at info@perfectpooches.org.
If you are interested in adopting, please complete an adoption application, which can be found on our website at www.perfectpooches.org under the Adoption Process tab. All dogs are spayed/neutered, current on vaccines, heartworm tested (age appropriate), fecal tested and/or dewormed, and microchipped.
