My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Brie – Your New Best Friend in a Wiggle Tail Package! Brie is a lovable, goofy 4-year-old Pitty mix weighing 56 lbs, and she’s ready to bring joy, laughter, and lots of tail wags into your life! With her soulful brown eyes and playful spirit, Brie is the ultimate walking partner and fetch enthusiast. She loves romping in the garden hose and rolling around on the grass—pure bliss! At home, she’s a devoted companion who wants nothing more than to be near her people. While she enjoys being part of the action, Brie also knows when it’s time to rest and will happily retreat to her crate for a nap, as long as she can still keep you in view.

Brie may be deaf, but that doesn’t slow her down one bit. She’s incredibly smart, responsive to hand signals, and tuned into the world through her other senses. She's mastered the art of silent communication—no barking at the doorbell here, making her a great fit for remote workers! Brie would thrive with a family experienced with active breeds—she may have some Dalmatian or herding dog in her genes—and a home with a backyard would be a dream come true for her.

She loves playing with dogs her own size and gets along best with calm, confident canine companions who can help her navigate the world. Due to her strong herding instincts, Brie isn’t suited for homes with small pets, cats, or farm animals. But in the right home, she’s pure magic—a loyal, playful, loving girl just waiting to be someone's perfect match.

More about this rescue

I.C.A.R.E. is an all breed, no kill dog rescue. We rescue dogs at risk of being euthanized from shelters, abandoned, abused, and stray dogs. We also rescue many owner surrendered dogs; which are dogs that can no longer remain in their current homes due to financial or personal issues. I.C.A.R.E. Dog Rescue is dedicated to reducing the number of dogs that are euthanized in our shelters each and everyday. We focus on rescuing and rehabilitating them in loving foster homes until they are adopted into their permanent homes. We also focus on educating the public regarding specific breeds, rescue, and general information regarding the canine species. We are a 100% volunteer run and supported organization that cannot survive without the help of loving fosters, volunteers, and benefactors.
