Meet Lucky! The Cat, the Myth, the Blanket Lover
Lucky has been at Colony Cats since August 2023, and, well… he’s starting to wonder if this is just his life now. Not that he minds too much—he’s got his routines, his favorite spots, and of course, his beloved blanket girlfriend (yes, you read that right). But deep down, he’d still love a real home of his own.
Now, let’s address the (adorable) elephant in the room—Lucky is a unique guy. He’s deaf, has limited vision, and, for reasons known only to him, he prefers to pee in a bowl instead of a litter box. But honestly, who are we to judge? Everyone has their quirks.
Despite his special needs, Lucky navigates his world like a champ. He was born deaf, so he figured out how to adapt as a kitten, and while his vision is limited, he can still sense light, darkness, and general shapes. Once he gets familiar with his surroundings, he moves around like a pro—even making little calculated jumps when he feels like it.
Lucky is also a master of the pbbrt (that little chirpy trill cats make) and absolutely loves rubbing up against your legs. When he’s in the mood for affection, he’ll sniff you out and follow vibrations to track down the nearest source of love. He’d thrive best in a predictable home—an apartment or a small, single-story house where he can quickly get the lay of the land.
If you’ve got a soft spot for quirky, lovable misfits, Lucky might just be your guy. Plus, who wouldn’t want a cat with a blanket girlfriend? Come meet him—you might just be his lucky break.
Come meet me at the cage-free adoption center! All cats are spayed or neutered, vaccinated and tested for FIV/FeLV. **If interested in adopting me, please fill out an online adoption application at https://colonycats.org/adoption_app.html to expedite the process. Due to the large number of inquiries received, we are unable to respond to emails quickly.**
