My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rabbits are incredibly smart and can be trained to do tricks and acknowledge simple commands. Check out Shadow learning how to "dance" by spinning around on our social media!

SHADOW is one smart cookie... and he's still looking for a Forever Home! Shadow is an almos 5y/o, 2.5lb, neutered Netherland dwarf mix. He is one of the sweetest rabbits we currently have in the rescue; his foster mom says he sits on her lap for up to 30min watching TV as she pets him and he is respectful and non-destructive while free roaming.

Shadow was one of the refugees Penny & Wild took in from the West Coast of Florida after Hurricane Ian hit at the end of September 2022. At first he was extremely shy; we named Shadow both because his eye liner is on point and because he was afraid of his own shadow!

After 1 year in rescue Shadow is not shy at all and now enjoys spending quality time with his foster mom and keeps himself entertained remodeling his cardboard hidey houses when alone. He also likes to chew apple wood sticks, willow balls and other bunny safe chew toys.

He has been waiting for a forever family of his own for over a YEAR... almost two! Is that you?

**Because of how small and fragile dwarf rabbits are there should be no children under the age of 12 in the home.

More about this rescue

SOS FL Animal Rescue is a non-profit rescue for rabbits and guinea pigs. We are animal lovers who are experienced rabbit and guinea pig owners. We both fostered small animals with other rescues for years before meeting each other and deciding to start our own rescue so that more rabbits and guinea pigs could be saved. We take in all rabbits and guinea pigs, including unwanted animals, seniors, and medical cases.
