Meet Delaney, a spirited and sassy bunny looking for her forever home. Once the star of Bunny Yoga, Delaney knows how to have a good time, whether she's zooming through tunnels or lounging around soaking up the sun. She's full of personality, always ready to express herself and explore her surroundings. She was once part of a bonded pair with her mate Bear, who sadly passed away in October of 2024. Her wonderful foster mom has noted that Delaney loves her cardboard tunnel and enjoys massage sessions during her subQ fluid therapy.

Delaney may be a single bun now, but she has plenty of love to give and is eager to find a forever home.

Medical History: Delaney is an older bunny who requires regular vet check-ups every few months to monitor her kidney health. She needs subQ fluids three times a week, with adjustments based on her bloodwork results.

Spayed: Date unknown

Minimum housing requirement: Double pen or free roam.

Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease Virus (RHDV) is a highly contagious and deadly disease caused by a calicivirus that affects both wild and domestic rabbits. It is not contagious to people or other animals. For the first time, the virus is causing deaths in rabbits and hares native to North America and is spreading rapidly. UPDATE: In May 2021, California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) has confirmed new cases of RHDV in rabbits in Kern, Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego and Ventura County. In addition to detection of RHDV2 in wild cottontail rabbits and jackrabbits, RHDV2 has been confirmed in domestic rabbits on 50 premises, including a detection in a feral domestic rabbit. More about this rescue

We are a volunteer-driven organization working in San Diego County for nearly 25 years. We want to ensure that rabbits are not adopted out unaltered, that they find good homes where they will be cherished as indoor family companions, and that we educate our community on the responsible care of indoor rabbit companions.
