Mia was surrendered to a shelter when she was just 6 weeks old. She was placed with a shelter foster who planned on adopting her. We don't know if this foster was inexperienced or just didn't know how to properly care for a small breed dog. Regardless, she was brought back to the shelter when she was 6 months for her spay surgery. She only weighed 5 pounds and her bones were sticking out. The shelter chose to spay her that day and poor little Mia started having seizures after her surgery. Due to this, the adopter no longer wanted her and she was placed on the euthanasia list. We saved her with seconds to spare as they had already placed her in the euthanasia room. Her foster is so happy to report that Mia has not had any seizures while in her care and now weighs 7.4 pounds!!! She is ready for a forever family of her own. **adoption fee $400
