More about this rescue

Welcome to Liberty Acres United Rescue Animal Sanctuary. We are a nonprofit 501c3 Sanctuary with a focus on senior and special needs dogs. We want our dogs to have all the comforts of living in a home while they wait for their furrever family. The dogs live in tiny houses in small groups. Each house is furnished with comfy seating, doggy door, entertainment, heating/cooling and a fenced in area. There are 22 acres of property for the dogs to explore. The volunteers and staff spend their time taking the dogs on hikes on the trails, swimming in the pond or running through the woods in the six acre off leash area. Housing the dogs in this way helps us learn more about how they would do in a home setting. We are able to work with them on house training and other behavioral issues before they go to live with a new family. Our goal is to provide them with not only a place to wait for a home but a place where they can feel at home
