My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you're looking for an affectionate, friendly, playful, awesome, gorgeous, and simply outstanding cat to add to your loving family, look no further than this kitty here. She's a black beauty with fluffy fur and dazzling green eyes. Her name is Emerald. She's truly a gem! Emerald is patient, kind easy going, and accepting of everyone. Her previous caretaker had nothing but good to say about her. She gets happy when people open her cage to see her, greeting them with a meow to politely ask to be pet. Chances are high for her to give you an affectionate headbutt. Her favorite toys are brightly colored mice. She has a blast chasing and batting them around. Emerald will sometimes bring you the mouse for you to throw it for her. How fun! Emerald has done very well with children of all ages. The children in her previous family were able to carry her and tuck her into bed with them. That just goes to show how patient she is. Emerald would prefer to be adopted into a family without other cats and without dogs. However, her previous family had pet rabbits that Emerald got along with. If you have rabbits or guniea pigs at home, perhaps Emerald could become friends with them! Come by the Humane Society to meet Emerald!
