My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

WEST PALM BEACH, FL - PIERRE AKA HAMILTON, A 5 YEAR OLD, 89LBS, STANDARD POODLE IS LOOKING FOR HIS NEW LOVING FOREVER HOME FOR REAL, FOREVER THIS TIME. Are you looking for a buddy? Hamilton has chosen the name Pierre as his new name for his new life. He would like nothing better than to be your best friend, hang out on your lanai, run your fenced yard and play a game of fetch. Pierre is a 5 year old, 89lbs Standard Poodle. He is fully vetted, up to date on shots, microchipped, parasite free, and housebroken. He is a smart, large dog that needs a strong leader that not going tolerate his bad ideas. He'd prefer to be a rough player, but is happy to keep to the rules after you gain his trust. He'd be best with physical and mental stimulation and with someone that will be in charge and require him to follow commands/rules. Most enjoyable with no other dogs as he will pester them to play non stop. Pierre is looking for someone willing to meet him where he is. His human(s) need to be willing to burn his energy in the backyard, be patient and consistent with instructions and follow-through until Pierre learns to trust them and beyond. You'll want to be stable on your feet in case he tries to rough house with you. Must have a large, fully and properly fenced yard, privacy fence preferred. He requires a home with no children. Pierre needs a person or couple that are fully committed, dedicated, understands it is all about him. Please contact JoAnn at 561-313-2005 for additional information or to meet and fall in love with Pierre. Thank You!

More about this rescue

Destiny for Dogs is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Florida Dog Rescue Organization dedicated to assisting senior citizens in keeping their beloved dogs in their homes. Destiny assists “qualified” seniors with dog food, monthly heartworm/flea preventative, annual wellness visit to our veterinarian, plus the rehoming of their beloved dogs if necessary. Destiny for Dogs is a non-breed specific, small, foster-based, no-kill rescue and is active in rescuing dogs from shelters, owners, or families who can no longer care for their deceased family members’ dog. Our goal is to find loving forever homes for rescue dogs regardless of age, health, or corrective behavioral issues. All Destiny's dogs are fully vetted, sterilized, up to date on shots, microchipped, receive a wellness check by our personal vet prior to being placed in a foster home. Once in foster, he or she will be evaluated, loved and nutured to prepare them for a second chance to live the “Happily Ever After” life that they so deserve. Plus, provide love and joy to their new family.
