Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Elizabeth's story is a tale of remarkable transformation. Rescued from a puppy mill, she arrived in her new home carrying the scars of her past but also the promise of a brighter future. An outstanding mother, Elizabeth delivered five precious puppies shortly after her rescue, showing a nurturing side that defied the pain she had endured. She was an exceptional mom, ensuring her puppies received the care and love they deserved. The heartwarming update is that all of her puppies have found their forever homes, a testament to her role in their journey to happiness.
Elizabeth herself is a gentle and reserved soul, still learning to trust in the goodness of people. She is super sweet and affectionate, craving attention she was previously denied. Elizabeth would thrive in a quiet and gentle home, with an owner willing to offer the love and support she needs. She would also do best in a home with no cats. Cage-trained and appreciative of a safe haven, she's a loving and deserving companion. While she's made significant progress, she's also still learning house manners, requiring patience and constructive guidance in this regard. Elizabeth is ready to share her big heart with a kind and caring owner, bringing with her a tale of resilience, love, and the promise of a brighter future.
Elizabeth MUST be in a home with a fenced-in and gated yard, We consider all dogs to be flight risks but a puppy-mill dog is shyer and requires more security. Once she feels safe she will delight you with her charming poodle personality. She loves to be pet, especially on her head, and will sit there next to you for hours!
Elizabeth is 2-1/2 years old and fully vetted, She has been spayed, received age-appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and is heartworm negative, Subsequent vaccines are at the expense of her adopter. Her adoption donation is $600.00. She is on the hunt for her own completely committed family, Little Dogs can live to be 20 years old so she wants to be sure her family is all in for better or for worse!
We adopt in the local Chicago metro area. We require home visits, If you would like to apply to be considered as an adoption candidate to adopt Elizabeth please fill out an application for her adoption on our website at:
