My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Name: Pepita
Title: Queen of the Window Throne & Hide-and-Seek Champion

Hi, I’m Pepita. I’m independent, a little shy, and basically the expert in “If I fits, I sits” — especially by the window where I can silently judge the outside world. Sometimes life gets a bit overwhelming, so I disappear like a ninja (aka: I hide). But don’t worry, I’m good with other cats—they get my vibe.

I’ve had some dental remodeling (fancy talk for a few teeth removed thanks to stomatitis), so I’m basically a badass with a soft side. I’ll sometimes bless your bed with my presence, but only when the coast is clear and the vibe is calm. If you have a quiet home and a comfy window perch, we might just be a perfect match. Adopt me and get ready for a lifetime of mysterious glances and occasional cozy surprises.

Go meet their pets

We will be holding adoption event days with PetSmart on Ft Jackson Blvd and Two Notch Rd as well as PetSense on Garners Ferry Rd. These are partnerships that we've initiated and that have been greeted with open arms by these great organizations. MUCH More to Come!

More about this rescue

At Cat Around Town Project, we believe that by spaying and neutering as many stray and colony cats as possible, we are proactively controlling overpopulation at its source. All kittens and any cats that are adoptable are removed from the colonies and adopted to suitable homes. One day, when the supply meets the demand, there will be a home waiting for every kitten in our community. .
