Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Bluebell is a Domestic Short Hair (DSH)-mix, male, DOB: 4/15/23.
Delightful and lively with his kitten playfulness (though quickly filling out his paws to grow into a large-sized cat), Bluebell is a fearless adventurer looking to serve his curiosity. This adorably engaging little charmer is an extremely friendly and outgoing young guy too, completely unaware of any dangers in the world and wanting plenty of time for exploration with his brother, neither wandering far from their people or family activities.
Like his brother Sprite, Bluebell is a highly social and pretty confident young cat who also happens to be really good-natured and easy-to-please. An affectionate and endearing young cuddle-bug, he’ll be looking for lots of opportunities to give and receive loving-attention, and he thoroughly enjoys head bopping and being near those he knows and trusts. His purr motor is loud and proud - it gets pretty revved-up when he’s getting pets or invited onto the laps of his people.
Bluebell, along with his littermates, Sprite, Moxie, and Fig: came to Monroe SPCA as orphans needing critical care - emaciated, dehydrated, mom hit by a car. They spent their first months with Monroe SPCA in medical foster being treated for URIs, getting them to healthy weights, along with being treated for Giardia, Coccidia, Roundworm, and fleas.
Now a happy, healthy feline, Bluebell is looking for his forever home with a family who can give him the time and attention a young cat needs. Although Bluebell can be adopted individually, we recommend a pairing with several of our other young cats having compatible personalities and temperament.
Bluebell is best suited as an indoor pet and companion for a home with a calm, low-active to moderately active lifestyle and no active young children under the age of six (6). He is comfortable with other compatible cats and kittens, and he’ll be comfortable in the presence of well-mannered, cat-friendly dogs after being given some adjustment time to warm-up and settle into his new surroundings. As with all Monroe SPCA adoptable animals, a home visit and a meet-n-greet with any housemate pets will be required prior to adoption.
Bluebell currently resides at Monroe SPCA’s Adoption Center and Retail Store. You can meet him by appointment with pre-approved adoption application. To start the adoption process, complete and submit Monroe SPCA’s adoption application linked above.
All Monroe SPCA cats available for adoption have an adoption fee of $85.00. This fee includes the cat being spayed or neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, dewormed, tested for FeLV and FIV, and microchipped with lifelong registration prior to adoption.
Completed applications can be emailed to info@monroespca.org or dropped off at Monroe SPCA’s Adoption Center and Retail Store located at 293 W. Monroe Street, Dundee, MI.
