Hello Colorado! I'm Laurel, originally from Oklahoma. I came here with my two brothers after my foster mom saw a plea for a rescue to take us from a rural, high-kill shelter. I am so happy to be here! I am around one year old. I have been with my foster family for 7 months now. My foster mom asks how is that possible since I have been one of her most easy fosters yet. It might be that I am fully grown and a long-legged doggie making me on the larger side? Or maybe it's because through no fault of my own, I have some bad hip and knee joints? Even though my foster mom thinks I was originally an outdoor dog, I have adapted to indoor life amazingly. I sleep all night free roam with her other doggies, eat and share toys nicely with my foster brothers and sisters and love people. Even though one of them is not a good sharer, I just let him have his toy back when he wants. I love kids and other dogs. My brothers were with cats and did well, but my current home does not have them. I am an all-around really chill dog. There are very few things that I don't like. One thing I am not sure about yet is walks. I know with some patience; I could get to love them. Because of this, my foster mom says I need a home with a yard. I do enjoy just lounging outside and sunning myself. Since I do have hip and knee pain, I could go on leisurely walks eventually if someone wants to help me get used to that. I am currently on some daily medicine and supplements to help with my joint issues and I am doing really great with them.
If you have a couch, home and heart open to welcome me into your life, I would love you forever, I promise! I am being fostered in the Longmont area.
