Bentley is gentle, friendly, and loves to snuggle. He is great with children and other dogs.
About five years ago, Bentley was diagnosed with SARDS (Sudden Acquired Retinal Degeneration Syndrome). It is a condition that causes rapid blindness due to changes within the retina.
Blind dogs with SARDS can have a normal life expectancy and a great quality of life.
He requires no medication or special treatment.
Other than being completely blind, Bentley has no other medical conditions.
Bentley’s owner is 75yrs old and battling health issues of her own. She was recently moved into a full care facility and is no longer physically able to care for him. He was her best friend for so long.
I am fostering Bentley and helping her find him a forever home.
Bentley has adapted to his blindness quite well. He is the sweetest dog.
He would do best in a home where the furniture and surroundings don't change too often. That allows him to map out the layout and use his nose to get around.
