My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Serenity is a Standardbred mare who was born in 2017 with the hopes of her being a harness horse but when an injury to her leg ended her racing career, she came here to Wayward Ranch to heal up and start her journey as a riding horse.

Since she's been with us, we've gotten her started undersaddle and now she's looking for someone interested in a great project horse! She would do best with a confident, quiet rider who has experience with green horses who can handle her occasional mare-y attitude. Serenity is pretty solid walk/trot but is still learning where to put her legs for the canter and loves to go out on trails, either by herself or with a buddy.

On the ground, Serenity is an absolute goofball who loves being with her people and getting groomed. She's one of the first horses here new volunteers are able to handle and groom.
