My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Scout is an adventureous and curious boy who is patiently waiting for his forever family to find him!   His eyes are so expressive and he is as sleek and shiny as a panther.  He is a calm, mellow and "go with the flow" kitty who gets along with other cats, dogs, and children of all ages. When not playing with his favorite toys (balls, springs, fuzzy mice) he might be gazing out the window watching the birds or sleeping on your bed.  He is a great bug catcher and will certainly keep your house bug free.  He has a sweet meow and can be talkative when he wants to tell you about his day.  His favorite place to sleep at night is on your bed, especially if you have a fuzzy blanket that he can nuzzle.

Scout has excellent manners and is willing to take his turn when eating.  He has no problem using both a covered and uncovered litter box.    If you think he would be perfect addition to your family, please contact the rescue to come and meet him.

All our cats and kittens are adopted after an approved submitted application. If approved, the animal is delivered personally and a home inspection is performed.

We charge a $140 adoption fee for kittens and $110 adoption fee for adult cats, and $60 for senior cats which includes: spay/neuter, microchip, combo test and age appropriate vaccinations.

Transport is also free but we do ask for a donation if over 30 miles.

Adoption events are held at Petsmart in Corvallis, Oregon. Events will be posted on our website, www.keithaskittierescue.org, and our Facebook page as well as advertised through partners.

All our cats can be seen via a pre-arranged "meet & greet" at anytime.

We do not have a brick and mortar shelter, but we have wonderful, caring foster homes.

More about this rescue

Keitha’s Kittie Rescue was created on August 10, 2017. and became a non-profit, 501(c)(3) on December 27, 2017. We just recently taken another rescue under our wing, Calapooia Critters Rescue and Transport.

The other shelters in the area often require owners to pay a fee to abandon their animal, or overcrowded and not able to take the animal, have the owner make an appointment to assess the animal or there is no local shelter in the community, and sometimes the animals a stray and takes time to adjust before being adopted or they need medical care. Keitha’s Kittie Rescue is all volunteer, foster based shelter.

Volunteers care for the cats and kittens in their homes. Adoption events are also held at Petsmart in Corvallis, Oregon. All money goes for the cats litter, food and medical care.

Our mission is to create a safe environment and find a future home for the unwanted, unloved, forgotten cats that no other rescue will take. We get a lot of injured, ill, and abused cats. Our veterinarian bills are quite high but we do what we can to raise funds and keep our animals in the best health. We NEVER euthanize unless it is extremely necessary. We have a few hospice foster homes where an animal can live out the rest of its days in love and comfort. It is our calling, our focus, and our main drive in life.
