Lucy is a Great Dane/ Labrador retriever mix. Her vet estimated year of birth is 2014, and she weighs about 85 pounds. She's low key and relaxed. She walks beautifully on leash. She really just wants a low key home where she can be loved and love in return. She would love to take leisurely walks with you and sit at your feet with her head in your lap and watch TV together.

Lucy has severe separation anxiety and really need a home where her owners are there most of the time or can take her wherever they go. If you are a retired couple and would like a wonderful companion who will love you outrageously, Lucy is your girl.

We require potential adopters to fill out an application, and a home check is also part of the process. We look at each dog and each adopter on an individual basis and work to create a lasting and forever bond. All companion animals must be spayed or neutered, UTD on vaccinations, and on heartworm preventative. Our adoption fee is $250 unless otherwise noted.

Ruff Love was founded by Sue Rogers in response to the overwhelming numbers of abandoned dogs in the Randolph County/Davidson County area. Over time, we have developed a network of volunteers and foster homes. Our rescue efforts are geared toward dogs. We are a 501(c)(3)non-profit organization so all donations to us are tax deductible. Currently, we are caring for over 100 dogs in our program, and almost 70 are adoptable. Most of the dogs that are not up for adoption are either old or are suffering from chronic health conditions. They will live out their days well cared for and comfortable in with Ruff Love Rescue.
