Here's what the humans have to say about me:
UPDATE--Cleo had a generous family donate $100 towards Cleo's adoption fee, so kind!! Plus, of course we will have all sorts of great things to send home with Cleo to her forever home! We are hoping Cleo gets her Christmas Miracle and finds that special family.
To help us make a great fit for you, and any of our dogs as well, please include information about yourself(Home, family, yard/fence, work hours, other pets...) and/or use our application at sparrowdogs.com. Those emails will get the quickest response, we do the best we can, but if we have to follow up with an email asking you about yourself and waiting for a response, well, we have already moved on to the next email that has provided the details. We are doing the best we can to find the right home for each dog or cat, just need your help too! :)
Sweet Cleo was adopted from us when she was just a puppy. She had come to us with her siblings and her Mama, Goldie. they were all happily adopted a cople of years ago. But, sadly Cleo's family had a death in the family and they can no longer care for her.
Her family consisted of her Mom and Dad, they were so wonderfully retired. Dad LOVED to be outdoors, had beautiful gardens and a huge koi pond. They enjoyed countless hours outside with the other two small dogs, at the time, just enjoying the good life. Mom loved Cleo as well, even tho Cleo was a little bit of a rowdy Daddy's girl. Cleo's family had grown kids with so many fun little grandkids which she adored. She was raised with family gatherings at Grandpa and Grandma's house. She has met babies, toddlers, teenagers...she has kissed everyone, more than once!!
We had found out from one of the adopters of Cleo's siblings that she is indeed 100% Mountain Cur. She came from Alabama back in 2021 with Mom and siblings. Mountain Curs are a working breed, they are quite prey driven(she is very excited about squirrels and such!). She is looking for a family that fully understands the activity needs of a working breed such as a Mountain Cur. They love to follow their nose. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mountain_Cur#:~:text=They%20are%20also%20used%20for,used%20as%20a%20water%20dog.
Cleo will do well with a very active family, she LOVES going for walks and exploring. She is terrific with everyone she meets, albeit a little overly affectionate! Cleo is also totally housebroken, eager to please, and would love a family with perhaps another active and playful dog and some kids she can love on! She will need a family that will not leave her alone for long hours, she does need a lot of activity. But, she is also a wonderful napper and is resting peacefully after breakfast and a busy morning playing with her pals.
Cleo's adoption fee is $300, now $275....which with the gift of $100, her adoption fee is $175.!! She will go home with tons of supplies to help her settle into her new home. She is a funky, funny, lovable goofball of a dog, if that is what you are looking for, she is you girl!! Please email Kristine at joysparrows@gmail.com.
