My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Duke is a great size German Shepherd mix with a wonderful disposition. He’s friendly and energetic when you meet him, but settles down nicely on walks. He doesn’t react passing dogs, and generally just likes to be out having fun and seeing what’s going on. Duke would make a great dog for an active family. He would probably also love a yard with a little room to run. He seems smart and engaged and knows some basic commands. He also seems super housetrained.

Duke is currently in a foster home. If you're interested in him, please email KSwanson@cityofberkeley.info. First, we'll set up a virtual meeting with their current foster family via phone, Zoom, or Facetime, to provide you with more detailed information. Then, if you feel that Duke might be a good adoption fit, shelter staff will gladly coordinate an up-close and personal meet and greet with your potential family member. Thank you for your support!
