Introducing Dixie, our charming and lovable girl who’s looking for her forever home! This sweet pup has made quite an impression during her time in emergency foster care, and we think you’ll fall for her just as quickly.
Dixie has shown great potential with both medium and large dogs, getting along well and enjoying their company. She’s curious about cats but is not aggressive—just a bit intrigued! With a gentle “leave it” command, she’s happy to respect their space and move on. Her laid-back approach to meeting new friends is a testament to her friendly and adaptable nature.
Car rides are one of Dixie’s favorite things—she’s all about those adventures and will be thrilled to join you for trips around town or weekend getaways.
While she’s mastered potty training and knows commands like `sit,` `leave it,` and `come,` she’s still a work in progress when it comes to leash manners. Dixie can be excitable and loves to jump with joy, so we’re working on teaching her patience, waiting for food, and refining those leash skills.
Dixie is ready to bring her enthusiasm, affection, and playful spirit into a home where she can continue to grow and learn. If you’re looking for a loving companion who’s eager to please and always up for a car ride or a game, Dixie might be the perfect match for you. Come meet her and see how she can brighten your life! Dixie is currently in foster care outside of the shelter. If you are interested in learning more or meeting Dixie, please complete an adoption survey using the link below:
