Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet our beautiful black and white parti colored, 3.5 year old purebred standard poodle. She is spayed, current on vaccines, micorchipped, and has FINALLY been cleared by our vet after 3 months.
3 months ago she went in for a regular new patient check up with my vet. Normally we wait to schedule our spays for new pets to allow them time to acclimate into our lives prior to any type of surgery but our vet happened to have space that same day to add her to the schedule. I almost declined, as it wasn't our normal protocol but her overall checkup went great so we decided to leave her. THANKFULLY we didn't walk out because she wouldn't be with us today.
When she was opened up to have her spay done my vet discovered a mass on her spleen that had ruptured. During surgery she lost a couple liters of blood. My vet didn't know if she was going to make it out of surgery but gosh! How I thank God for him everyday. He had to perform a splenectomy on her, and was successfully able to remove the mass along with it. He sent the mass to the lab to test for cancer and by the grace if God it came back benign. She spent a week hospitalized while recovering from surgery. We have had x rays, and blood work done and just had more blood work done recently at her 3 month post surgery recheck that came back great. She has finally been cleared to find a home all her own, and honestly her zest for life, and all that's in it is quite beautiful. It is almost as if she knows just how precious her life is, and how it was almost lost.
Her splenectomy was 3000 alone.
Biopsy.

Well she is my million dollar dog at the moment 😂 but money well spent, and worth for her to be alive today.
She is house trained, crate trained, leash trained, great with other dogs, loves EVERYONE she meets, is wonderful with children, always looks forward to road trips, and her spa days are her absolute favorite. She is fun, full of life, sweet, outgoing, and looking to share her life with a family/person all her own!
Anymore questions, please send them out way ❤️
Her adoption fee, along with its breakdown is on our website at breadoflifek9refuge.org.
