My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet the adorable boy Pimento! While he's still quite timid, he's made a great deal of progress in his foster home and is slowly but surely learning to trust his human caregivers.

He enjoys spending quiet time in a closet that he's claimed, but he jumps out for feeding time and allows pets while he eats! He chirps when he's lounging in the window and likes attention then too! He doesn't like being approached too closely when he's on the floor and his foster is standing - too much for now he says! He's also recently started spending time cuddled up on the couch with his foster and he could even be described as an attention hound and a lap cat!! All on his terms, of course.

Pimento is a special, chatty guy and is going to take a very patient and loving person when it comes to his forever family. He's not met many new people and when he has he isn't too interested. However, since he arrived at his foster home in spring of 2023, he has shown that he can learn to trust. It just takes time. He would do best in a very quiet and mellow home with a family that doesn't mind letting him adjust and become his cuddly self on his own terms over some time.

Pimento enjoys playing with his mice and ball toys that he can bat around and show who's boss. He's not met other pets while at Tenth Life.

If you think your home is a good fit for this sweet boy, apply to adopt him at www.tenthlifecats.org/adopt. For his first meet and greet, we may recommend that it be done on a virtual platform like Zoom or Facetime. That way, his potential family can see him without him hiding at first.

More about this rescue

Tenth Life's Mission:
Giving cats the lives they deserve.
At Tenth Life, we believe that every cat, regardless of emotional or physical limitations, deserves the chance at a fulfilling and happy life.
We provide veterinary care, foster homes, and adoptive placement to stray cats and kittens, prioritizing those with special needs. We work to end unnecessary euthanasia and cat homelessness through educational outreach, community programs, and collaborative partnerships.

Only when a trusted veterinarian determines that a cat is in a state of incurable suffering, does Tenth Life relieve them of their pain through gentle and humane euthanasia. This difficult and thoughtful decision is never made in response to a lack of space, negative behaviors, or because a cat's medical needs are challenging or expensive.
