Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Top o the mornin' to ya! Meet Maeve. This Irish lass may just be the most playful kitty you have ever met. The best part of Maeve's day is chasing the string toy with her person. She is also quite content to entertain herself with most any toy followed by a well deserved nap.
Prior to coming to Tenth Life, Maeve had very little socialization with people. She is a very sweet and gentle girl, but is extremely timid especially with new people and surroundings. Maeve has gained confidence and made so much progress in her foster home. She now enjoys getting pets and will make a very cute high pitched squeak when she wants them, and has even turned into quite the snuggly lap cat. She likes being picked up, getting kisses, and following her foster mom all around the house. Maeve is not only beautiful but has the most soft and silky fur, and this little lady will fit just perfectly in the crook of your arm while lounging on the couch.
It will likely take Maeve some time to adjust to a new family and place, so she would do best in a quiet home with a very patient adopter. Once you gain Maeve's trust, she will be incredibly bonded and love you forever. Playing with Maeve is the absolute best way to get her to come out of her shell. Her silly and fun personality is sure to bring endless joy to an adopter.
Maeve is not a fan of the resident cat in her foster home so she would probably do best as the only cat in the household. Maeve has minor GI issues which are managed well with a prescription diet.
Maeve would love to finally find her forever home. Because she will likely be timid during a first meeting, we're recommending that potential families meet her for the first time virtually to see her as her most normal self.

More about this rescue
Tenth Life's Mission:
Giving cats the lives they deserve.
At Tenth Life, we believe that every cat, regardless of emotional or physical limitations, deserves the chance at a fulfilling and happy life.
We provide veterinary care, foster homes, and adoptive placement to stray cats and kittens, prioritizing those with special needs. We work to end unnecessary euthanasia and cat homelessness through educational outreach, community programs, and collaborative partnerships.
Only when a trusted veterinarian determines that a cat is in a state of incurable suffering, does Tenth Life relieve them of their pain through gentle and humane euthanasia. This difficult and thoughtful decision is never made in response to a lack of space, negative behaviors, or because a cat's medical needs are challenging or expensive.
