Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Scoots is a curious guy, who is a testament to the power of patience. When he first arrived in foster care, he was extremely timid, scooting away from anyone and everything. Now, he is the first to show himself at meal times, and takes a keen interest in household activities, sitting or lying wherever he can get the best view.
His foster people still haven't been able to pet him without Scoots retreating. Now, instead of running, he retires two paces, curls his tail around his feet, and gives the human a look that says "Yes, you've touched me. Shouldn't you be feeding me instead?". If you want to pet him, put some treats in your hand. You can rub his chin while he eats from your palm or fingers.
He makes a purrfect playmate for his brother, Tux (with whom he must be adopted). He has shown a tendency toward plant eating, so nothing poisonous in his new home please. He will roll in all the catnip you care to give him. No need for an expensive bed either. A cardboard box, big or small, will do just fine. Like Tux, he will hide from strangers, so virtual viewings are a must at first. Once he and Tux settle in, you'll wonder how you ever did without them.
Must adopt with Tux.
