Handsome Axel is from a litter of Shepherd/Pyrenees puppies we rescued from a Kansas shelter in June 2023. We have watched him grow so much and he is so ready for his furever home!
High energy Axel really needs an active owner. He would love to be your jogging companion or go with you to the dog park or any body of water. Fun loving Axel loves all kind of toys and playing with other dogs. He would love to have a canine friend to play with in his furever home. Axel is ok with cats, but sometimes will chase them in play. Happy and sweet, Axel enjoys attention from people. He is great with children and would do well with ages 8 and up- due to his energy level and size he might knock littles over on accident. Axel is potty trained and tells his foster mom when he needs to go out. He does ok on a leash and knows some basic commands.
1 year old Axel weighs about 100 lbs. He is neutered, up to date on core vaccines, microchipped, and up to date on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives.

Adoption Requirements:
*A 6 ft fence
*A home check
*A vet check which includes having at least a two year vet history

We are a volunteer, nonprofit rescue, relying solely on your generous donations. We are currently working to establish our rescue facility in St. Clair, Missouri. Until our facility is constructed, we will be foster based only, with fosters in Missouri and surrounding states. We will continue to have fosters after our facility is built. Our facility will allow us to rescue more Pyrenees in need.
