"KEENO, a 6-yr-old, 60lb Pitbull mix, was rescued from death row at the New York City high-kill shelter where he was abandoned by his previous owners who had 'no time for him anymore.' Understandably, KEENO has a history of mild separation anxiety but improved after adjusting to the routine of his current foster. While KEENO is exceptionally friendly to strangers he meets in a setting outside of the home, if a new person enters his home in the presence of his caretaker, KEENO will become excited yet overprotective and has been known to go after a few pant legs, which has resulted in several minor bites and scrapes. For this reason, we are looking for a home for KEENO with a retired individual or a home body with a predictable routine with no kids and few if any visitors. If this describes you, and you're looking for a canine companion to share your life with, then KEENO is the dog for you! KEENO knows basic commands: 'Sit,' 'Speak,' 'Paw,' 'Touch,' 'Yes,' and 'Give Me Kiss'! KEENO is a medium to low energy couch potato at heart, is house trained, and has no resource guarding. KEENO has a tendency to chase cats and critters, however he likes some dogs, especially females, but would do best as the only dog or with a dog smaller or younger than him. KEENO is fully vetted, vaccinated, neutered, and heart-worm negative. This is an opportunity to become a part of the truest rescue dog's happily ever after, in return for which KEENO will rescue you with loving and fiercely loyal companionshipl and mutual guardianship for the rest of your happy lives together. KEENO's adoption fee is waived, and we are willing to transport him to any loving home in the USA for FREE. For more pictures, videos, and the rest of KEENO's story, please call Andrew anytime at (646) 387-9868. Thank You for your interest in NYC Rescue Dog KEENO!"
