My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Are you looking for something sweet to add to your life? Adopt Mango! This delicious puppy is in search of a forever home and you could be it!

WHAT MY FOSTER SAYS: Mango is a big sweetie! She broke out of the PG County Shelter, and has been loving life in foster ever since. She's incredibly smart, knows "sit", and to wait before running out the door before a walk! She's still a pup so she gets super excited sometimes, especially upon meeting new people. But she chills out quickly and easily. All she needs is someone to sit by and snuggle up to. She loves being pet and is fine being left home alone.
Did we mention she's a quick learner and treat motivated? She's a super smart girl and will thrive with adequate mental engagement. She would love sniffing games and any other brain-engaging activities. Mango will also be a fantastic adventure partner. She's an energetic, go anywhere gal who would love to be part of any and all activities.

Mango will do well in any living situation (apartment, home, etc.). She'd love a yard (what dog wouldn't?!?) but she would be fine in an apartment as long as she gets sufficient exercise and enrichment. Mango is social with her doggy pals and is working on learning how to overwhelm her less social friends. Due to her exuberance, she may not be best suited to live with small dogs at this time. A big ol' puppy, she'll continue to thrive and be her best self by learning boundaries.

Mango truly is the best of both worlds! Total snugglebug who is happy to be the big or little spoon but also a girl that's always ready to try something new and is comfortable in the world around her. Mango is sure to keep you laughing and will be a loyal companion!
ATTRIBUTES: Mango has done well in foster with other dogs.

More about this rescue

Laila's Legacy missions is to ensure every homeless dog - including those with behavioral or physical challenges - that comes through our doors has a chance at a better life while educating the public on breed bias, individualistic training, and the importance of spay-neuter to lower the impact of returned and abandoned animals in shelters.
