Astro is the epitome of a good dog, he can be super playful but the second you ask for cuddles he’s ready to just lay with you. He’s sweet to kids and babies and he always means to be gentle but occassionally forgets that he`s a big, happy boy. He has an endearing low bark/ howl when he’s excited to see you and in true best friend fashion, is ready with zoomies to celebrate any good thing with you at any time, he will even gently take your hand in his mouth to hold (you know, since he doesn`t have thumbs and can`t hold your hand with his paw). When Astro showed up at the shelter he was a defeated, introverted, shy, depressed little dude, but one of our caring fosters saw the personality underneath and boy did it come out when he realized how much we all want to love him. Now, Astro is a charmer, everyone he meets falls in love with him. His foster momma says, out of her 3 dogs he is the best-behaved by far. Astro has experienced some trauma in the past from other dogs, so he can be slow to warm up to new dogs and he is possesive of his food when other dogs are nearby, but He does currently live in a home with other dogs that he plays with and enjoys. He would probably also be happy to be the only dog and get all the attention. Just know, if you do decide to adopt Astro, you`ll never get away with avoiding the cheese tax ever again. His foster mom says `I truly don’t have enough good things to say about him. I know if you give him a chance you`ll fall in love with him too.`
