My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Aspen - Available for Adoption
Fostered in Hamilton

Hi Folks! My name is Aspen. I am another one of the lucky sled dogs rescued from the sled dog kennel Quebec. My life was destined to be on a chain with barely any food, water, vet care or attention. Lucky I made my way to a foster home. Boy do I love this dog life!

I have learned to go for walks and they are wonderful. But because I am a puppy, I pull a little but overall walk very nice.

I have also learned: focus, no, sit, down, come, up the stairs, inside. My potty training and paw are still a work in progress but getting better each day.

My foster mum describes me as sweet, gentle, calm and respectful. I am also very quiet. My foster mum has no idea what my bark sounds like.

I am not destructive in the home as I have excellent house manners. I am kept in a puppy proof space with my toys as I patiently wait for my family to come back from shopping without a peep. I do not like the crate. It makes me really anxious. I do much better without it.

I do sleep in my foster parents bedroom, on the floor. I sleep well through the night. In my current foster home, I have a doggy sibiling. I love him so much that I annoy him with my energy. I always want to play, but sometimes he doesn’t. Whenever he does want to engage in play we have the bestest of time. We chase each other and wrestle in the yard.

I love being pet so much. Never realized how wonderful it is to have affection: hugs, facials, belly scratches, bum scratches etc. I never say no to lovies. You can mostly find me belly up! Scratches are more than welcome!

Foster mum says the most endearing thing is how gentle I am. I love to lightly nibble on your hand. I like to hold onto the things I cherish the most, your hand and my toys. I mostly like plush squeaky toys and bones.

Overall I am a super good boy. I like to please and am eager to learn new tricks.

Aspen has shown signs and symptoms of allergies and has been treated with Cytopoint with success!

Aspen’s adoption fee is $700. He is neutered, dewormed, microchipped & up to date on vaccines.
