My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

** Serena is currently in a foster home, and is available for adoption! Email applications@chicagocaninerescue.org to set up a meet + greet! **

Prepare to meet Serena, the canine comedian ready to steal the spotlight in your life! This lovable goofball is a certified cuddle enthusiast, always on the lookout for her next snuggle session and eager to join her human pals on any adventure.

Serena started off her shelter journey a bit shy, but thanks to her time in foster care, she's blossomed into a full-fledged doggy diva, complete with her own entourage of admirers.

Now, Serena does have one tiny request: she'd prefer to be the solo star in her forever home. After a not-so-friendly encounter with an off-leash pup, she's a tad wary of other dogs. But give her some space to strut her stuff, and she'll have you rolling with laughter and showering her with belly rubs in no time!

When she's not busy stealing hearts, you can catch Serena soaking up the sunbeams on her plush doggy bed, living her best life one nap at a time.

Ready to add a touch of whimsy to your world? Look no further than Serena - your very own four-legged comedian and cuddle connoisseur!

More about this shelter

CCRF was founded in 2001 to help find permanent, loving homes for homeless dogs in our city. In just over seven years, CCRF has saved the lives of over 2,000 dogs, cats, kittens and puppies.

CCRF now assists the animals that are the MOST vulnerable in Midwest - the dogs and cats that are slated for euthanasia because they are too old, too young, injured, have disabilities, or have simply been overlooked for too long by potential adopters at other shelters.
