ADOPTED ON 01-05-24 Lexi is the definition of what all animal rescues strive to help, in our case this young (36 months) German shepherd female survived hell and chose to embrace the future! Our girl came to us malnourished, isolated, parasite infected, beaten and terrorized, yet she is still loving, playful and happy to see each day. I have rescued many German shepherds over the years and each time they amaze me with their ability to move on and have good lives.
In the case of Lexi, I was unsure how to proceed so I chose to rely on history and guess what, she hit the ground running. It was amazing to watch, this girl refused to be a victim, most of the time I was unsure who was training whom, I was blessed and humbled by the very presence of this wonderful creature! I can assure you that I learned more from Lexi than she ever learned from me, her presence has been a true blessing. As you might imagine our girl had no problems completing all of our socialization and training programs revealing a strong desire to train, a very strong human desire, super intelligence and the ability to handle dogs, adults and children with love and understanding. Lexi has the ability to fit into a loving family that can give her security, exercise and further training.
