Breed: Chocolate Labrador Retriever
Age: 1.5 years (still young enough to believe he can outsmart anyone!)
Weight: 60 lbs (of pure chocolatey goodness and joy)
Gender: Male (neutered)
Health: Up to date on vaccinations (so he's ready for all the fun!)
**Background**
Hank is a beautiful chocolate Labrador Retriever who was found starving in a bad area of town. He was living the "ruff life on the streets, but thanks to some kind-hearted rescuers, he's now ready to trade in his wild ways for a cozy couch and a loving family. He's the quintessential lab-smart, energetic, and convinced he's destined for the role of "Water Master!
**Temperament**
Hank is a big, lovable goofball who has lived with other dogs and children. However, due to his size and energy level, we recommend a home with kids aged 13 and up. He's like a gentle giant who sometimes forgets he's not a lap dog-watch out, or you might find yourself buried under 60 lbs of chocolate fur!
**Favorite Activities**
If there's water in sight, Hank is ready to make a splash! He loves water so much that if you leave the bathroom door open while taking a shower or bath, he's likely to make a grand entrance, ready to join the fun. Who needs a rubber duck when you have Hank?
**Training**
Currently in a foster home, Hank is getting regular walks and exercise. His foster mom is training him to be a pro on-leash, and he's doing fantastic-especially when food is involved! He's like a doggy detective on a mission to sniff out treats. Socializing with another foster dog has been a bit of a snooze-fest for him so far; he's more of a "lone wolf type, but he's perfectly fine with sharing his space.
**House Manners**
Hank is house, crate, and leash-trained, so he's ready to be the most well-behaved member of your family. Just don't be surprised if he tries to convince you that "couch potato is an official sport!
**Notes**
If you're looking for a loyal companion who loves water, food, and a good laugh, Hank is your guy! He's excited to find a forever family that appreciates his goofy nature and shares his love for adventures (especially if they involve a splash zone)!
