Meet Houston: A Shy Beauty Ready for a Loving Home

Houston is a gorgeous black short-haired cat with a gentle spirit. Although she is very shy, her personality shines during feeding time. Houston was initially an outdoor cat, friendly to her feeder, but now that she's inside, she's a bit uncertain about her new surroundings.

Houston enjoys attention and, with some tender loving care, she will blossom into a wonderful addition to any household. She came with other cats and has adapted well to their company.

If you have the patience and love to help Houston feel at home, she could be the perfect companion for you.

Our adoption process involves completing a one-page adoption application. Applications are processed within 48 hours.

Adoption fees for cats/kittens are $130.00. All cats/kittens have been wormed, altered, tested for feline leukemia, given age-appropriate vaccinations, and are microchipped.

Adoption fees for dogs/puppies are $300.00 All dogs/puppies have been wormed, altered, tested for heart worm, given age-appropriate vaccinations, and are microchipped.

We also offer our Senior for Senior program matching senior animals to people over the age of 63. Adoption fees are waived for this program.

More about this rescue

Camp Companion is a 501c3 organization established in 2003.

Based in Rochester MN, the organization is totally driven by volunteers.

Camp Companion is dedicated to providing low-cost spay and neuter services for feral, farm and stray companion animals. The organization is funded solely by donations, fundraisers, grants, and adoption fees. All funds we receive are used for veterinary expenses and the cost of care incurred for the animals waiting for their forever homes.

Through our spay / neuter efforts, we encounter kittens and stray domestic cats that need rescue services and a forever home. We have no shelter, but rely on foster homes to care for these rescued pets. Every animal we offer for adoption is spayed or neutered.
