Meet Nyx: The Fluffy Wanderer with a Heart of Gold

Found wandering the lanes of Lanesboro as a stray, Nyx stole our hearts from the moment we laid eyes on her. Since her arrival on May 15, 2023, she's been on an incredible journey of discovery and transformation, and now she's ready to find her forever home!

At just two years old, Nyx is a picture of resilience and grace. Despite her rough start, she's maintained her zest for life and her unwavering spirit shines through in everything she does. With her fluffy coat and soulful eyes, she's sure to capture the hearts of everyone she meets.

Our fluffy friend is not just a pretty face-beneath her fluffy exterior lies a heart of gold. She's affectionate, playful, and always ready for a cuddle session or a romp with her favorite toys. Her playful antics will bring joy and laughter to any home lucky enough to welcome her in. Nyx does prefer to be the only cat or at least the only female cat in the house.

With her medical needs taken care of, including spay/neuter, a Feline Leukemia Test, vaccinations, and microchipping, Nyx is ready to embark on the next chapter of her journey: finding her forever family.

Our adoption process involves completing a one-page adoption application. Applications are processed within 48 hours.

Adoption fees for cats/kittens are $130.00. All cats/kittens have been wormed, altered, tested for feline leukemia, given age-appropriate vaccinations, and are microchipped.

Adoption fees for dogs/puppies are $300.00 All dogs/puppies have been wormed, altered, tested for heart worm, given age-appropriate vaccinations, and are microchipped.

We also offer our Senior for Senior program matching senior animals to people over the age of 63. Adoption fees are waived for this program.

Camp Companion is a 501c3 organization established in 2003.

Based in Rochester MN, the organization is totally driven by volunteers.

Camp Companion is dedicated to providing low-cost spay and neuter services for feral, farm and stray companion animals. The organization is funded solely by donations, fundraisers, grants, and adoption fees. All funds we receive are used for veterinary expenses and the cost of care incurred for the animals waiting for their forever homes.

Through our spay / neuter efforts, we encounter kittens and stray domestic cats that need rescue services and a forever home. We have no shelter, but rely on foster homes to care for these rescued pets. Every animal we offer for adoption is spayed or neutered.
