My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Nyx is a 2-year-old female cat with a calm and curious personality. While she's usually mellow, she has playful moments and especially enjoys interactive and motion-activated toys that spark her interest.

Nyx is a people-oriented cat in her own unique way-she loves to be near those she trusts, often following them into rooms or staying in a spot where she can keep an eye on them. She values her independence but will occasionally sit next to someone she feels comfortable with, making her a wonderful balance of companionship and autonomy.

Nyx doesn't care for female cats but gets along well with males, making her a great fit for a household with a friendly male cat-or she'd be perfectly happy as an only cat. While she doesn't enjoy being held and hides when new people visit, her curious nature means she'll eventually come out to explore and bond once she feels safe. With a little patience and love, Nyx will become a loyal and loving companion for the right home.

Our adoption process involves completing a one-page adoption application. Applications are processed within 48 hours.

Adoption fees for cats/kittens are $130.00. All cats/kittens have been wormed, altered, tested for feline leukemia, given age-appropriate vaccinations, and are microchipped.

Adoption fees for dogs/puppies are $300.00 All dogs/puppies have been wormed, altered, tested for heart worm, given age-appropriate vaccinations, and are microchipped.

We also offer our Senior for Senior program matching senior animals to people over the age of 63. Adoption fees are waived for this program.

More about this rescue

Camp Companion is a 501c3 organization established in 2003.

Based in Rochester MN, the organization is totally driven by volunteers.

Camp Companion is dedicated to providing low-cost spay and neuter services for feral, farm and stray companion animals. The organization is funded solely by donations, fundraisers, grants, and adoption fees. All funds we receive are used for veterinary expenses and the cost of care incurred for the animals waiting for their forever homes.

Through our spay / neuter efforts, we encounter kittens and stray domestic cats that need rescue services and a forever home. We have no shelter, but rely on foster homes to care for these rescued pets. Every animal we offer for adoption is spayed or neutered.
