Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This handsome boy is Domino! At 7+ years old, Domino is a senior gentleman looking for a loving family to share his best retirement years. But don't be fooled by his age, because this charismatic pup still has a youthful energy and joyful zest for life! Sweet Domino is famous at PAWS for sitting quietly at the door of his kennel, patiently waiting for someone to visit him. As a border collie mix, he is highly intelligent with a strong work ethic and desire to please. These traits, coupled with his affectionate disposition, make him a dream to train and he LOVES to learn new skills. Domino already knows several basic commands, he is housebroken and also walks nicely on a loose leash.
While Domino thoroughly adores people, he can be selective with other animals and he would probably be happiest an only pet. He also appreciates a peaceful home environment and is best suited for older children and adults. Domino has enjoyed several shelter breaks with our amazing foster families, and they shared these glowing notes:
"Domino was a perfect houseguest, he really liked being out of the shelter and having space to free roam and investigate. We took him for several walks in the neighborhood and he had no reaction to strangers we passed. He has lovely house manners and knows many commands such as "come and "sit. He was introduced to our other dogs but he didn't care to play or engage with them. We took him out to lunch with us, and he laid quietly at our feet during the entire meal. He is a really sweet and affectionate dog and we enjoyed spending time with him!"
Domino is a kind and gentle soul who is desperately ready for a forever home. While we absolutely adore him, we would love for Domino to spend his retirement years with a loving family instead of in the shelter.
