My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meredith is looking for a foster family or foster to adopt situation. Meredith recently arrived from St Thomas after living in the shelter for almost two years.
Meredith is a 3.5 year old female pittie/cattle dog mix weighing 39 pounds. Living in the shelter for so long has given her a little anxiety when meeting new dogs. This sweet girl is so happy to be able to do "zoomies in a yard and play with toys. Meredith is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped and is being treated for heartworm in which the treatment is fully covered by Oet Search. We recommend older children over 8 years because her energy levels can be a little much for toddlers. She can be reactive to dogs and cats. She is housebroken and crate trained.
Meredith needed a chance for a better life outside of living in a shelter for more than half her life.
Pet Search supplies food, crate, toys and all other supplies needed if you are interested in fostering and or foster to adopt. Please give this sweet girl a chance!

More about this rescue

Pet Search is an all-volunteer, non-euthanizing rescue and placement service that has been in Washington County since 1985. Pet Search's philosophy is that all pets deserve a second chance for a hoe and love. Pet Search has chosen not to use a shelter-type environment with kennels and cages, but perfers to "home shelter" animals with volunteers in private homes. Pet Search is a privately funded organization, relying on the generousity of fellow animal lovers.
Pet Search provides the following programs:
* Animal Rescue and Placement/ Adoptions
* Fundraising
* Homeless and Feral Cat Trapping (aluminum recycling is used to fund this program)
* Humane Education
* Pet Therapy
* Rabies Plus Clinic- Low Cost inoculations (three times a year)
* Community Service Opportunities for students
* Other Public service programs, such as the Blessing of the Animals in October
FOSTER HOMES AND VOLUNTEERS ALWAYS WELCOME!!!
