My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Updated: 04NOV24

**About Catherine**
Meet Catherine, a soft soul with a playful zeal for life! Rescued from the medical list at Memphis Animal Services, she was saved when a wonderful foster stepped up. Catherine loves going on short walks and playing with her tuff toys (not the stuffed kind). She wiggles with glee when you arrive home, giving a little bark, but she prefers to gaze at you with her beautiful hazel eyes, trying to communicate with soft sounds and the occasional zoomie.

**Social Butterfly**
This delightful girl may have a bit of Frenchie in her, especially during car rides, which she adores! Catherine is a true socialite, enjoying the company of new people and greeting everyone like an old friend with lots of wiggles. Since her rescue on January 27, 2023, she has been living with her foster mom and has shown she gets along with all dogs she meets, from tiny 6-pound puppies to big 90-pound Rottweiler mixes. We haven't tested her with cats yet.

**Special Needs**
Catherine has a few special needs due to her rough start in life. She was very underweight and had multiple infections, but despite her challenges, she has always maintained her happy demeanor. To support her health, she follows a specific breed diet to keep her weight and stool normal. Occasionally, she may have accidents if she's in her crate due to mild bowel dysfunction stemming from a previous rectal prolapse, which she had successful surgery for in 2023. This is not behavioral; she will go to the door to alert when she needs to go outside.

**Style is Her Middle Name**
Catherine is a fashionable lady who loves dressing up because she's so pretty! In fact, she became a bit famous for her adorable participation in the Team Memphis pet costume contest, where she proudly placed 3rd! Dressed as a princess in a turquoise lace tutu with a pink bodice and a headband adorned with silk roses and a veil, she won the hearts of many with her charm! Catherine would make a great addition to any individual or family with gentle children. If you're looking for a sweet and silly companion, she's ready to bring joy and laughter into your life!
