My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Henrietta is a young, exotic-looking house panther with the most mesmerizing green eyes. Etta was rescued in the middle of winter in -20 degree wind chills. She had been abandoned when her humans moved out of their apartment and tossed her outside. She was still wearing her old collar, which was starting to rub into her neck. Eventually, we were able to restore Etta's trust in humans, and she realized a second chance at indoor life was pretty great after all. Now Henrietta's next step is finding the most purrfect furever home for this special girl to call her own.

Henrietta needs a quieter home with experienced, patient cat people. Because of her past, Etta is full of quirks and may never be a typical house cat - but she's the sweetest, funniest cat EVER once you get to know her. Etta has the cutest little chirpy voice that she uses ALL the time to talk to her humans. She'll follow you around the house and take any opportunity she can to excitedly and awkwardly rub up against you + ask for love. If you hold your hand out anywhere near her, she will DIVE for it so you pet her. She's in love with butt scratches too. If you walk away from her or past her when she's wanting love, Etta WILL take a swipe at your hand. She so deeply wants acceptance and affection - she's just extremely socially awkward about it. Etta loves laying in her cat trees + cozy beds, and she has recently found the "people bed at nights, which she thinks is pretty cool. Etta does NOT like being picked up and is very timid around new people and in new environments. Etta has been around dogs and is absolutely fine as long as they don't pester her. Same with older children. Etta would love a cat friend or two, but it would have to be the right fit. Henrietta is the most special girl who will be the best companion for the right person.

More about this rescue

Camp Companion is a 501c3 organization established in 2003.

Based in Rochester MN, the organization is totally driven by volunteers.

Camp Companion is dedicated to providing low-cost spay and neuter services for feral, farm and stray companion animals. The organization is funded solely by donations, fundraisers, grants, and adoption fees. All funds we receive are used for veterinary expenses and the cost of care incurred for the animals waiting for their forever homes.

Through our spay / neuter efforts, we encounter kittens and stray domestic cats that need rescue services and a forever home. We have no shelter, but rely on foster homes to care for these rescued pets. Every animal we offer for adoption is spayed or neutered.
